Removal & Disposal of 2 No. Wrecks from Sittwe Port, Myanmar.
On behalf of MEA, the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) awarded a project to Divetech Marine - Salvage Company (Member of ISU) in two bid systems for ‘Removal and Disposal of Two Wrecks at Sittwe Port, Myanmar,’ for possessing capabilities of Wreck Removal, Disposal, De-bunkering, Salvage, etc.
The scope of our work is as follows:
- The initial survey to locate and mark the wrecks and position the vessels accordingly for salvage work.
- Identifying the lay of the wreck and preparation of the methodology for the salvage operations.
- Airlifting the surrounding material and mud to expose the wreck clearly, in order to identify the lifting points.
- Employing divers to check for material (fuel, oil & misc.) content and report the same to surface and a Surface Team to prepare methodology for safe disposal of the identified material.
- Removing the wreck along with the debris from the seabed for disposal.
- Proposal includes all associated equipment and required manpower, both on-shore and offshore equipment, and for disposal of the salvaged material as mutually accepted with the client.
